Stress Management Training in the Great Outdoors

Sometimes its good to do something a little different. We can deliver high quality training in the great outdoors. During a walk in one of Britians wilderness areas we explore stress and how we can manage it.

What is covered in the training?

We cover the same stuff that we cover normally in our stress management training programme delivered exclusively in the classroom.

There is a booklet to read before the day which covers the essentials of what you need to know. Then during the day in the great outdoors we get a chance to explore what stress is all about and how we can cope with it.

What does the day demand?

There is some challenge to the day because we intend to walk you over some of the most demanding areas of Britain. However we don't cross raging rivers or climb rock faces or make you sleep outside in a makeshift shelter. We have contact with an excellent organisation who can help you with this kind of training if that is what you are looking for. However our training is more about the experience of the wilderness than learning to conquer it. We belive there are many who would benefit from this experience but find the thought of an outward bound type of course just too much.

So essentially we take you on a walk. It is physically demanding and you will be required to dig deep at times to keep going but the experience should be within the capabilities of most people.

We tailor each walk to suit the group in question so you won't be expected to take a thirty mile yomp across the moors but you will have to face a physical challenge.Of course if you are not used to physical exercise you would be advised to get a check up from your Doctor before you come.

All of out courses are lead by experienced trainers who hold at least a Walking Group Leader Award (see http://www.mltuk.org/docs/training-wgl.html for more information).

What do we get out of the experience?

There is of course the obvious benefit of getting high quality stress management training from a well respected Internation speaker but there are other benefits that you can only get from this kind of experience:
